The Runway vs. the Rumors: Thylane Blondeau Stuns at Miu Miu as she defends cosmetic-surgery claims
At Paris Fashion Week, 24-year-old Thylane Blondeau commanded attention in a brown wool suit at the Miu Miu show in Palais d'Iena. She layered a white ribbed top beneath the jacket, paired it with brown boots, and styled her dark waves with glasses and a silver necklace. The moment was a runway triumph, but it also underscored a long battle: she insists she has never had cosmetic surgery, even as she remains the subject of relentless online claims.

From Champs-Élysées to Paris Fashion Week: A Child Prodigy Becomes a Couture Powerhouse
Blondeau’s rise began at age three, when a Jean Paul Gaultier agent spotted her in The Champs-Élysées and sent her down a runway. A Vogue Enfants cover followed, and she was dubbed the “most beautiful girl in the world” as a child. Over the years she has worked for couture houses including Miu Miu, Dolce & Gabbana, L’Oréal Paris, Versace, Ralph Lauren and Hugo Boss, fronting campaigns while building a Paris-based fashion and beauty empire.
The Online Hate and Her Steady Truth: ‘I’ve Never Touched Anything’
On Instagram, she shared a screenshot of a comment asking, “what has done with her lips,” and wrote that she is “tired” of such remarks. She declared: “Tired of these kinds of comments. I know that in this generation people tend to do things very early, but I’ve never touched anything. You can look at photos of me when I was younger nothing has changed. People love to compare and make things up but just because I wear makeup or use a lip liner doesn’t mean I’ve had my lips or face done. At some point we need to stop with that. And honestly, since I was 10 years old people have been saying I’ve had something done to my face, it’s time to stop with that.”
A Health Journey That Reshapes Her View of Beauty: Listening to the Body
Blondeau has spoken about health challenges that impacted her perspective on beauty. In 2020 she underwent ovarian cyst surgery after a cyst “exploded in my stomach,” and later revealed additional surgeries in 2021. In the hospital, doctors initially told her the pain was “all in your head” and sent her home. A subsequent emergency operation was prompted by a 5.6 cm cyst touching her ovary. She now urges others to listen to their bodies and seek answers from multiple doctors until the problem is found and healed: “Any pain even the little ones can hide something way more important.”
