Claudia Ochoa Félix - labelled the 'Kim Kardashian of organised crime' - was associated with the notorious Sinaloa Cartel and reportedly worked for its enforcement gang, Los Antrax. The model flaunted herself alongside pink AK-47s, expensive motors, and bundles of banknotes across social media platforms. She was reportedly wed to Jose Gamboa, another narcotics trafficker who commanded Los Antrax before his incarceration. Following his detention, Felix purportedly took charge of the lethal assassination unit. Members of the group characteristically sport diamond-encrusted skull rings and have executed savage acts of brutality to strengthen the organisation's dominance. In 2011, the gang engaged in combat with Mexican military forces in southern Culiacan and discovered three abduction victims in a neighbouring hideout - one victim had suffered mutilation to his toes and ears. After the killing of Los Antrax's former chief Francisco Arce Rubio, the organisation executed 20 killings throughout Sinaloa state. Three corpses were discovered suspended from a bridge in Guamuchil - one victim had endured torture and bore a massive wound in his stomach. The remaining two fatalities were stored in a freezer before disposal. In 2019, Felix was discovered suffocated at a residence in Culiacán city after consuming alcohol and allegedly using other substances. Her demise triggered conjecture - whilst some believe it was an overdose, others have proposed cartel vengeance.

María Guadalupe López Esquivel, dubbed "La Catrina", emerged as one of the most infamous and dreaded female assassins of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). She supervised a team of ruthless murderers, facilitated ambushes against opposing gangs, and orchestrated strikes on police targets. In 2019, this lethal gang massacred a group of police officers journeying through the state of Michoacan, leaving 13 dead and marking their crime with posters bearing the cartel's initials. La Catrina frequently showcased designer labels, luxury cars, gold-plated firearms, and posed alongside armed bodyguards on social media platforms. Her ruthless reign was abruptly halted during a gunfight with Mexican federal and state security forces near Mexico City in 2020. She sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the neck and died shortly after being airlifted to hospital. Bodycam footage from one of the soldiers captured the 21-year-old struggling for breath following the gunshot injury to her throat. He reassured her: "Calm down, kid. The helicopter is coming for you. It is coming now, easy, easy, you are going to be okay. Try to hang on." Tragically, she passed away in the helicopter mere minutes before it could land at a military hospital.
